mriconvert: how to convert fsl NIFTI to nii.gz format?

Hello,
Dianne is correct. gzip is typically installed on any Linux distribution.
FYI, the output of .nii.gz files is a planned feature for MRIConvert. I
do not have a firm time frame, but this will be included in a future
2.1.x release.
