You might be able to find it used on eBay although I haven’t seen it (I haven’t been looking). The problem is that it was a 16 bit software program (or maybe 32 bit) that didn’t make the jump to 64 bit cpu computers. (Among other issues …)

I highly recommend Headsprout. It’s a bit cheaper (but not much for a year access) if you have to have software. The budget option is to just stick with 100 easy lessons until about halfway and find other readers to supplement without a software solution. Headsprout is totally worth it and very proven …. if the child can handle the work load it is worth it. Hard to know that in advance though.

Zigsite.com is still up and useful reading instruction books could be found on eBay most likely … Funnix 2 readers seem to be on eBay. I remember “Direct Instruction Reading” being useful for nuts and bolts. Also “Response to Intervention and Precision Teaching: Creating Synergy in the Classroom.”

There are some headsprout readers on eBay …. or reading mastery, or corrective reading … hmmm maybe look at homeschool buyers co-op … reading eggs and / or explode the code seem popular but I have no experience with it.

Morningside Academy has some supporting materials available for purchase for fluency in conjunction with direct instruction. https://www.morningsidepress.org/shop-reading

Finally I remember that the boxcar children series were useful for independent readers that were not leveled and were interesting.
