Greetings CPSY and CFT community,
This Thursday evening at 6 pm, Dr. Susana Salgado will present a FREE workshop on zoom called "Cultura at the Corazón of Mental Health" (Culture at the Heart of Mental Health). Dr. Salgado is a graduate of the counseling psychology program. After years as a staff psychologist at Santa Ana Community College and service as the president of the California Latinx Psychological Association, she has recently started her own practice (https://drsusanasalgado.com/therapy/ ). I highly recommend attending her workshop if you are interested in intergenerational trauma, wellness, self-care, and mental health in Latinx communities. See below for details and please share!
Best,
Ellen

Dr. Susana Salgado will address how intergenerational trauma has informed the messages that have become part of our cultural fabric and shaped the narratives of wellness, self-care and mental health in our communities. Join us as we explore how cultural values when taken out of context can perpetuate burnout and how through intentionally centering cultura we begin to heal.
This a virtual workshop via zoom.
