Subject: A Request re: Research Recruitment
Hi Drs. Chronister and McWhirter,
I hope this e-mail finds you all as well as possible given the state of everything. I'm doing outreach today on behalf of my project team to make a final request for data collection on the project described below in advance of an upcoming deadline. We're trying to do something a bit unique and rather difficult: Collect from counseling psychology programs as much within-program data, from both faculty and students, as possible. That is, multiple faculty as well as multiple students from within programs. Please note that we do not intend to label programs; we just want to be able to describe both between- and within-program observations in a general sense. Thus, program names will be coded and removed before analyses are performed.
With our population being small and over-sampled, data collection has been an expected uphill battle. I know everyone is very busy, especially lately; however, our team would be grateful if you would each yourselves consider taking our survey (if you haven't already), as well as sharing it with students and other faculty whom I may not know. We have now added a raffle for one of four $25 gift cards (more information below). The study link is below as well as here: https://fsu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_cASzQzzpwzP4UZv<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://fsu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_cASzQzzpwzP4UZv__;!!C5qS4YX3!SKUJlpYsQ8DivLMxkxfO10cS5tjVuPo7w75jbVoaVtLrCfd0LUPbj03QdJ2LBCI-Hw$>
Thank you very much for your time and consideration. Let me know if I can ever be of help to you all.
Most sincerely,
Mel

Greetings,
You are invited to participate in a research project aimed at understanding the current state of antiracism training in counseling psychology doctoral programs in the United States. If you are currently a student or faculty member in an APA-accredited counseling psychology doctoral program in the United States and are 18 years or older, you qualify for this study.
Study participants will be asked to complete an online survey, which will take approximately 25 to 30 minutes to complete. At the end of the survey, if you are a faculty member, you will also be asked to upload any syllabi for any courses that you teach that reflect antiracism, multiculturalism, diversity, or social justice topics. These syllabi or can be de-identified before submission will be de-identified before data analysis.
While there are no direct benefits from participating in this study, results might lead to increasing your insight and awareness around antiracism training in your program.
At the end of the survey, you will be given instructions on how to enter a raffle for one of four $25 Amazon gift cards. These gift cards will be distributed once data collection is complete. If you participated in the study previously and would like to enter the raffle for a gift card, please contact Dr. Marks at laura.reidmarks at fsu.edu<mailto:laura.reidmarks at fsu.edu>.
If you would like to participate in this study, click on the link below or copy and paste the link in your browser to read the informed consent and to take the survey. Please forward this email along to anyone you know who may be eligible to participate.
