Please see the email below for information about externships offered at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland for next year, including a few placements in Eugene. Note that OHSU calls these 'practica' in accord with their terminology. These are best suited to fourth or fifth year students because you need to be available all day, for a given day of the week, for fall winter and spring terms (and sometimes summer).
If you are interested, review carefully, consult with your advisor to be sure the opportunity fits with your other demands next year including your class and GE schedule. And those are very challenging to figure out so far in advance, I know!

Subject: 2022-2023 Practicum Placements at Portland and Eugene CDRC

Attached are two documents. The first document contains a detailed description of each practicum placement that is available. The second document is a grid that shows the clinics that are offered throughout the week. Please note that OHSU has a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy that applies to all volunteers, learners, staff, and faculty. OHSU does not currently have a booster mandate yet, but I presume this will take place in the near future. We will be asking each student before they start for a copy of their vaccination card to ensure they are fully vaccinated.

If the clinic is highlighted in yellow, the clinic is not offered for the 2022-2023 year.
If the clinic is highlighted in green (Drs. Raegan Smith and Kylee Miller's clinics), the clinic takes place at the Eugene CDRC campus.
If you have any questions about a specific clinic, please feel free to reach out to me or to the specific supervisor who runs the clinic.
