Registration is now open for the 2021 AAPA Virtual Convention, Expanding our Banyan Tree: Unity, Inclusivity, and Intersectionality in Scholarship! Please see the flyers attached. The Convention Committee is excited to announce that we have confirmed our Opening and Closing Keynote Panelists for the 2021 Virtual Convention.


  *   For the Opening Keynote Session, we are honored to have the following panelists for the Opening Keynote: Dr. Sherry C. The opening session will discuss the hardships faced by our communities in research, practice, and in living over the past two years. Panelists will consider such challenges within and across groups with the intention to highlight multiple issues across various intersections of identity. It seeks to set a tone for bridge-building and solidarity across marginalized communities in dealing with the discrimination in the United States.


  *   For the Closing Keynote Session, we are honored to have the following panelists for the Closing Keynote: Dr. Rahul Sharma<https://urldefense.com/v3/__http:/www.rahulsharmapsyd.com/__;!!C5qS4YX3!W8p49VQBqugC-WIMH-5NlgDDVof-aBdP31liJGkD4G_abs7ps6-i8S2Yg68h2-s$> and Funkadesi<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/www.funkadesi.com/__;!!C5qS4YX3!W8p49VQBqugC-WIMH-5NlgDDVof-aBdP31liJGkD4G_abs7ps6-i8S2YwNmS1dk$>. The closing session will seek to explore collaborative healing and cultural immersion through music. It will build upon other programming at the convention and will continue discussions on building bridges within and amongst groups. This will include panel members’ insights from the past two years and the role of art and music in social liberation, healing from oppression, and forming cross-cultural connections.

·  Postdoc non-members: $40* one day | $80* three days

·  Student members: $20* one day | $40* three days

·  Student non-members: $25* one day | $50* three days

·  Retirees: $40* one day | $80* three days

·  Family & guests: $20* one day | $40* three days

Pre-Registration fees for members from Ally Organizations:

This year, as an effort to increase our attention to across-group collaboration at this convention, we are offering a discounted registration price to members from other associations/organizations outside of AAPA. Online registration will close on Friday, September 10th, 2021 at 11:59 pm PST. Ticket prices are subject to increase if you register late. Early and on-time registration is greatly supportive of our convention team.



To presenters of accepted poster(s) and/or session(s), we would like to have your confirmation of presentation by August 6th, 11:59 pm PST, and registration for the convention by September 10th, 11:59 pm PST. Failure to do so may impact the status of your acceptance.



Note: If you are a member intending to volunteer, WAIT to register. Volunteers attend free on the days that they volunteer, and they will receive a code for registration directly from the volunteer committee.
