Dear CPSY students:

The following email is about an externship opportunity that I and Womenspace will offer this summer and next year. Womenspace is our local domestic violence services agency. If you are interested, please continue reading.

I am seeking 2 externs to co-facilitate ACCESS intervention groups for female-identified domestic violence survivors. All externship activities, including ACCESS groups, will be conducted remotely. ACCESS is an intervention that I developed and is designed to facilitate survivors' mental health rehabilitation and vocational development. Through this externship you will learn:

  * how to conduct career assessments and provide feedback in a group setting
  * the relationship between intimate partner violence and women's economic and career development
  * group theory and counseling skills
  * counseling for empowerment theory and critical consciousness raising techniques

You will be trained and supervised directly by me, a licensed psychologist. The time commitment would be for 7 consecutive weeks. The exact summer dates have not yet been set, there may be some room to accommodate your schedule. The time commitment is:

  * 5-7 hours per week for those 7 consecutive weeks, which includes intervention curriculum training, supervision during group facilitation, your own time studying the curriculum and preparing for group, taking notes, etc.
  *   There is a small stipend = $350

If you are interested and/or have questions, please email me.

Thank you,
Krista
