Subject: Call for Participation: Supervision During COVID-19 Research

Dear Dr. McWhirter,

We are conducting a study investigating the impact of COVID-19 on clinical training and supervision for both supervisors and supervisees/trainees. We would greatly appreciate it if you forwarded this study to both your graduate student trainees engaged in practicum/internship, as well as training sites with whom you have a relationship. Thank you so much for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Jenna Lehmann and Melissa Rivero

Dear Clinical Supervisors and Counseling Trainees:

We are researchers interested in learning more about your specific experiences with engaging in telesupervision during the national pandemic COVID-19. We are reaching out to you because you can provide us valuable information about your supervision experiences, specifically how you experienced the transition from in person supervision, to distance supervision.

Because we want to hear about your experiences in your own words, you will be asked to write brief descriptions of your experience. Please be as thorough as possible. Individuals like yourselves, who completed the packet, took an average of approximately 10 -15 minutes.

Your participation is completely voluntary, and you may skip any question you do not wish to answer. Once you press the submit button at the end of the survey, your responses will be anonymously stored with all the other responses. Your completion of the questionnaire will constitute your informed consent to participate in this study. Upon completion of the study, you will be asked if you would like to be entered in a raffle to win 1 of 10 $25 Amazon.com gift cards. If you would like to participate, please click on the following link https://sfsu.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_dp5NAmjvLRoVR2Z<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://sfsu.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_dp5NAmjvLRoVR2Z__;!!C5qS4YX3!WdeKVe319EXEBLWSGY9uXM5q3ZMAjflaC_ec5XWKnkWE0j8b021aLsW1rV2DQlBfGw$>

We hope that you will find this task to be thought-provoking and stimulating. If you have any questions or concerns about the project, you may contact Sepideh S. Soheilian, Ph.D. at ssoheilian at ubalt.edu<mailto:ssoheilian at ubalt.edu> and/or the Institutional Review Board at 410-837-6199. Thanks once again for your help.

Sincerely,
