CPFM shared the following information campus wide:



Campus Wide Custodial Service Changes for Office Cleaning by CPFM Staff



Dear University of Oregon Faculty and Staff,

As a result of the recent budget reductions, Campus Planning and Facilities Management will be making some changes to the services we provide to campus. CPFM custodial staff will continue to focus on essential cleaning and sanitation tasks, including the regular cleaning of restrooms, classrooms, teaching labs, and high-use common areas. Note that this change does not apply to office suites, classrooms, teaching labs, or spaces that are not serviced by CPFM custodial staff.



Occupants who require trash service outside of their monthly office cleaning may dispose of trash in centrally located trash receptacles within public areas that are serviced daily. Office trash cans should remain inside offices and should not be placed in hallways or public areas, which could create a safety hazard. We appreciate your support as we work to keep campus clean with reduced staffing levels.

What does this mean for you?

General public space cleaning in classrooms and restrooms will still be daily.  Your individual office trash can will only be emptied by CPFM staff once per month, during the first full week of the month.  Kitchen and public area trash receptacles will still be emptied daily, so you can empty your office trash there as necessary.  To assist with this change, the COE facility manager will empty office trash cans in the early hours of the third week of the month.
