Hello All,
Please read the email below from the UO Senate President summarizing important materials and information related to the recent uptick in ICE activity across our communities. Beyond the information provided, UO is working with the local police and community leaders. If anyone is approached by ICE officers or has a concern/incident to report, you can call the UOPD (emergency 911 / non-emergency 541-346- 2919) and they will/can connect you to UO General Council's office which is active 24-hours a day, seven days a week.
Thanks for supporting our inclusive community.
Beth Harn
UO Senator for COE

Senators and Senate Executive Committee Members,
At last night's Senate meeting we heard from Jessica Price from the General Counsel's office regarding immigration actions here in the Eugene/Springfield area<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/www.klcc.org/education/2025-11-19/uo-lcc-talk-potential-ice-raids-amid-rise-in-local-detainments__;!!C5qS4YX3!ESEg_BOwUznUxdEMxxdFrXaAruT7ox07vqzYrMPVAkvYV8VFk1pSGbOLNlQ6LBn_io8apEHjX15JPq8HjRrDYBM$> and what rights and responsibilities we have.

I have also attached a pdf of the postcards we have had printed in partnership with the Provost's office. Faculty and students have distributed several thousand already, but I have some left. Please let me know if you want some of the remaining to distribute to your faculties and feel free to make copies of the attachment.
Please feel free to circulate this information widely.
