The Weekly Vol. 7 #9

Dean's Message

Dear COE Community,

Last night I had the pleasure of meeting the 2025 Noyce MaSTERIt scholarship recipients. This scholarship program is designed to recruit and prepare UO mathematics and science majors for K-12 science teaching careers in high-need school districts. You may have seen the research posters in the HEDCO lobby yesterday, featuring the impressive summer research projects these students undertook. The program represents an impressive collaboration between our UOTeach program and the College of Arts and Sciences. Kudos to Jenefer Husman, Katie Fitch, Jenny Ruef, and our UOTeach faculty for their leadership in this program and support of the next generation of STEM teachers!

Best wishes,

Emily
