Important resources and reminders for incoming and current international graduate students

The Division of Graduate Studies is monitoring immigration-related issues closely and working with the Division of Global Engagement to support international students. As federal actions continue to threaten international students and create great fear, anxiety, and helplessness for these students and their support systems, we want to remind our campus partners of the resources our university offers for our international graduate students and hope that you will save this information for your reference. Please note that we communicate all of the resources below to incoming and currently enrolled international graduate students directly.

INCOMING INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

Matriculation reminders

Our Division will continue to onboard incoming international graduate students. All programs should refer students with questions regarding travel, visa sponsorship, or international-related issues to intl at uoregon.edu<mailto:intl at uoregon.edu>. Please do not attempt to advise students directly as each circumstance is unique and evolving. Working Off-Campus: Curricular Practical Training (CPT) for Summer

There are three (3) types of CPT<https://isss.uoregon.edu/curricular-practical-training-cpt> options available. Please continue to remind students that many internship and employment opportunities may qualify for CPT. To qualify for CPT<https://isss.uoregon.edu/curricular-practical-training-cpt>, students should complete the following:  1.) Consult with ISSS, 2.) Receive program approval, 3.) Apply for ISSS approval through iConnect<iconnect.uoregon.edu>, 4.) Register for no-tuition, no-fees 1-credit GRST 604 by emailing CPT approval email notice to graduatestudies at uoregon.edu<mailto:graduatestudies at uoregon.edu>.

Reporting Discrimination, Harassment, and Retaliation
