Dear COE Community,
Amidst the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, the University of Oregon community acknowledge the profound impact of recent events in Gaza and Israel. President Scholz has reaffirmed<https://president.uoregon.edu/addressing-free-speech-safety-and-current-events> his commitment to fostering an environment where diverse viewpoints are heard while ensuring the safety and well-being of all members. Upholding principles of free speech<https://president.uoregon.edu/addressing-free-speech-safety-and-current-events> and peaceful dissent, the President emphasized the university's dedication to advancing knowledge and preparing students for impactful lives. Together, we can continue to engage in constructive dialogue and uphold our shared values of compassion and respect. I appreciate being a part of our College of Education community – one that deeply cares about our students, our community, and the world.
With gratitude,
Laura Lee
