Dear COE Community,

As things wind down this term, I’m struck by all we’ve accomplished together. Thanks for teaching our students, supporting our programs and departments, and contributing to our academic and research and outreach mission of the College of Education. Winter term is always jam-packed and this one was no different. If you have the chance to take a break next week, I hope it’s refreshing and an opportunity to reset before we head into spring.

Warmly,

Laura Lee

Updates and Upcoming:

COE Spring Break | Embracing a Voluntary Quiet Period

In consideration of the busy winter term and lingering effects of January's ice storms, COE proposes a voluntary quiet period<https://around.uoregon.edu/content/some-campus-services-buildings-cut-hours-during-break-1> for spring break week, 3/23-31. Similar to the successful winter break initiative, this aims to allow individuals to refresh and step away from work. While it’s understood that projects may continue for those who will be working, we encourage limited contact with colleagues on break. Therefore, The Weekly will not be distributed next week. Additionally, across campus, buildings will be locked, and dining options will be reduced. Campus Mail, Health, Counseling, and Tech Support will still be operational with adjustments. Please check for updates<https://around.uoregon.edu/content/some-campus-services-buildings-cut-hours-during-break-1>. Spring term begins on 4/1. Enjoy the break if you’re taking one!
