Dear COE Community,
This evening I attended a reception that appreciated and honored the contributions of UO faculty to the pre-college education and mentoring program SAIL<https://sail.uoregon.edu/>. This past summer, SAIL served over 450 Oregon high school students from underrepresented backgrounds in the summer education and mentoring program. It was wonderful to see and celebrate the many UO faculty and staff who devote their time, expertise, and passion to serving Oregon youth, particularly those who are low income, first generation, and students from underrepresented backgrounds. I appreciate the contributions of our COE faculty and staff who have contributed to this program and would love to grow our involvement given the alignment with our COE mission and activities. Thank you, Audrey Lucero and Jen Doty, for attending the reception and representing our COE so well!
There is so much happening on our campus right now – but there is also so much happening in our world. I hope each of you can take a moment to find some peace, connect with those you care about, and recognize our shared humanity.
Thank you for being a part of our COE community.
Warmly,
Laura Lee

Those activities are underway in units and instructions for faculty were shared on Monday. Department Heads and Unit Directors will share relevant procedural information with their faculty before the submission deadline of October 31st. However, faculty can begin to prepare their CVs now as instructed in the information that was shared. No action is necessary for OAs.
