Dear Faculty and Staff,

Many of you participated in the climate survey last Winter. Since the initial release of early climate survey results<https://uoregon-my.sharepoint.com/personal/tbars_uoregon_edu/_layouts/15/onedrive.aspx?id=%2Fpersonal%2Ftbars%5Fuoregon%5Fedu%2FDocuments%2FIDEAL%20Campus%20Climate%20Survey%20%2D%20ACTION%20RESOURCES%2F3%20%2D%202022%20Campus%20Survey%20Results%2FGallup%2FDisaggregated%20Demographic%20Data%2Epdf&parent=%2Fpersonal%2Ftbars%5Fuoregon%5Fedu%2FDocuments%2FIDEAL%20Campus%20Climate%20Survey%20%2D%20ACTION%20RESOURCES%2F3%20%2D%202022%20Campus%20Survey%20Results%2FGallup&ga=1> this past summer, University leadership has been mobilizing around the data and developing guidance for university wide action-planning. Recently, deans and leadership teams from across campus were convened and given clear guidance on the university's expectations around next steps and how colleges and other university units may now self-organize around our unit's specific data.

COE data have now been made available to us and can be viewed in their raw form here COE heat map<https://uoregon.sharepoint.com/:b:/s/O365_COELeadership340/EX6F7LMPyuNBjomE0rlaYDwBjjcJaoTWxYuC4MCi1COj5Q?e=OWpfHB>. There is a lot to unpack in these data, and there are important nuances to consider, so we will be organizing discussion sessions around these data to ensure that we all have a shared understanding of the story it tells about our college.

The guidance from University Leadership and from the UO's four Climate Survey Workgroups<https://inclusion.uoregon.edu/ideal-climate-survey-committees-teams-and-working-groups> when viewing the data, is to consider the meaning of the data at a high-level. We are encouraged to consider the questions that were posed in the survey and the connection of those questions to our context, rather than to be too tied to the data results themselves. In our conversations about the data, we will reflect broadly on the data as they relate to current reality and discuss the implications of the data by employee group. We hope to capture everyone's voice in this engagement.

A very general Communications Plan and Timeline is outlined below and a Climate Action Discussion Survey<https://oregon.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_cwN29jNUysms1jE> is included for individuals who are unable to attend group sessions or who would like to submit thoughts about the COE Climate survey results in writing.
