Dear Faculty and Staff,

Welcome back and happy 2023! I hope each of you had some time to recharge over break. Even just a short recharge can do wonders for our wellbeing. I appreciated the slower pace and reduced email volume in December. 😉 Things have picked back up and it feels great to be back with you all.

This week is a busy week and I want to remind our COE community that we are interviewing for the Ballmer Institute tenure track faculty search. We are hiring a cluster of new faculty who will be a part of the Ballmer Institute but have their academic homes in either the College of Education or Department of Psychology. The interviews are structured as a two-day symposium with faculty candidates giving 45 minute conference-style presentations. The presentations will be held on Thursday and Friday between 9:00 am – 5:00 pm in the Beetham Family Seminar Room, in the Knight Campus. I’ve attached candidate bios and a schedule of events. Huge thanks to our search committee comprised of COE and Psychology faculty and co-chaired by Beth Stormshak and Jenn Pfeifer.

Please stop by the Knight Campus tomorrow or Friday if you’re able and help us recruit some new faculty colleagues to our COE community! Please also see below for a listing of upcoming colloquia in the COE for faculty searches on January 17th and January 19th (to be held in HEDCO).

Warmly,
Laura Lee
