Subject: coe-staff: Nominate someone for faculty and staff awards

Please take a moment to reflect on the great work your colleagues do and submit a nomination to share their outstanding work with others. The College of Education recognizes outstanding faculty, officers of administration, and staff in the areas of teaching, service to students, administration, research or outreach, and diversity. Nominations are accepted from students, faculty, officers of administration, and staff connected to the COE. The complete list of awards is below.

· To nominate, simply submit the online nomination form<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/oregon.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_do6p2f1TgTpquKG__;!!C5qS4YX3!HFNq_vU21fJio2vxvxlpFislqZYBW20_mpxG51GOLeKPM1yaAmDxPaqvCBY3Z82YSudm6K3fABSJu1b_hC0rXw$> along with a brief letter in support of your nomination. The online nomination form asks for your name and the name of at least one other person supporting the nomination. The nomination letter can be in paragraph form or bullet points and can be emailed directly to lfortin at uoregon.edu<mailto:lfortin at uoregon.edu?subject=Letter%20of%20Support> or attached to the bottom of the nomination form.

Please be as detailed as possible in your submission materials. Use concrete examples to support your statements (i.e., don’t say, “She is always inclusive;” say, “She seeks out multiple perspectives, and ensures that all voices are heard. When preparing the recruitment flyer for our program she sent out an informal survey requesting specific and general feedback and worked diligently to incorporate all the suggestions she received. She also took the time to clearly summarize the suggestions she was unable to incorporate and why.”).

The awards committee can only consider the information you provide in their decisions as they do not rely on any personal knowledge committee members may have about a nominee, so please be detailed in your nomination. Click here to make a nomination.<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/oregon.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_do6p2f1TgTpquKG__;!!C5qS4YX3!HFNq_vU21fJio2vxvxlpFislqZYBW20_mpxG51GOLeKPM1yaAmDxPaqvCBY3Z82YSudm6K3fABSJu1b_hC0rXw$>

Nominations are due by May 9, 2022. Recipients will be announced June 10, 2022.

Thank you again for nominating a colleague or a deserved community member. We know that in the COE there will always be more deserving staff and faculty than there are awards, so this annual activity offers us an opportunity to celebrate a few of our many outstanding colleagues while we think of everyone’s amazing contributions.

Thanks,
Lisa
