coe-staff: UO Libraries news: Elsevier Negotiations

Hello COE faculty and staff,

The UO Libraries, along with the libraries at PSU and OSU, are entering into negotiations with Elsevier regarding our subscription to their journals for 2023 forward. This process will take most of 2022, and it is likely that representatives from Elsevier will contact many of you to promote their products.

In the interests of transparency and supporting your research needs, we have created a webpage to keep the community updated on our plans and process: https://library.uoregon.edu/relx_deal

We welcome your feedback throughout this process. Further, if you work with a journal published by Elsevier - as an editor or otherwise - we would especially appreciate hearing your thoughts. The webpage includes a form to submit comments and questions, which goes directly to our negotiations team.
