The University of Oregon is making KN95 masks available for faculty, staff, and students who do not have access to this type of mask. Masks are now available at multiple locations across campus.

Mask distribution
Members of the UO faculty, staff, and student body can pick up three KN95 masks by showing their UO ID card at the following locations:

  *   HEDCO 130 – Reception desk
  *   EMU - O Desk
  * Lillis – Atrium reception desk
  * Knight Library – Check out and reserve desk
  * Tykeson Hall - Welcome desk
  * Price Science Commons – Service desk

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has updated its guidance<https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/types-of-masks.html> to encourage individuals to use the highest-protective quality mask available to them that that fits them well and that they will wear consistently.

Masks will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis. They will be replenished as additional mask orders arrive. Blue surgical masks will still be available in classrooms and the HEDCO lobby.

Please note, KN95 masks can safely be reused up to five times. We strongly encourage that individuals use their masks with care and reuse them per the provided instructions. Additional information about how to ensure masks fit well is available on the COVID-19 Safety Resources website<https://safety.uoregon.edu/sites/safety1.uoregon.edu/files/safety_sheet_-_kn95_mask_-_v4.pdf>

Thanks,
Lisa
