coe-staff: COE Sponsored Projects Report FY 2020

Dear Faculty and Staff,

We are pleased to provide you with this brief annual reporting of our college’s sponsored projects awards for fiscal year 2020, which ended June 30. The quality, breadth and impact of the research, service, and instructional contributions represented by these awards are the strongest driver of our ranking as one of the top five public university colleges of education in the nation. In addition, the high regard for your accomplishments enhances the value of the degrees that our students earn.

These external awards support 550 jobs and have an economic impact throughout Oregon. Internally, over $1.5 Million was returned to the university in FY 2020 in innovation partnership fees, other fees, and royalty income from assessments, curricula, software, interventions, apps, and other educational and human services innovations.

Among other individuals and offices, the data for this report were compiled by Emily Tanner-Smith, Associate Vice President for Research, in collaboration with staff of the Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation. Celeste Christie created the design. We appreciate the efforts of all contributors.

The release of this report reminds us that there is no better college of education faculty and staff working today. We are honored to be your colleagues.
