coe-staff: Appointment of Dr. Keith Zvoch as EMPL Department Head

Dear Faculty and Staff,

It is with great pleasure that I announce the appointment of Dr. Keith Zvoch as Head of the Department of Educational Methodology, Policy, and Leadership (EMPL). Keith received his PhD in quantitative methods and masters in educational foundations from the University of New Mexico, and a bachelors degree in psychology from the University of Pittsburgh. He joined our faculty as an assistant professor in 2007 after previously serving on the faculty at UNLV. He also spent two years as a research scientist for the Albuquerque Public Schools. Keith is currently an Associate Professor in EMPL. He teaches advanced research design and multilevel, multivariate statistics courses, and a program evaluation course sequence. His research interests include causal inference in applied field settings, the modeling of time series data, and methodological approaches for measuring and accounting for breakdowns in treatment implementation. Keith has served as principal/co-principal investigator on IES funded grants and recently completed a four-year term as Associate Editor for the American Journal of Evaluation. He has published extensively in education, evaluation, and child development journals. Keith has served our college and university in numerous ways, including his current service on the University Senate, college Faculty Advisory Committee, COE Curriculum Committee, and as recent director of the EMPL PhD program.
