Please see email below from Jen Mirabile who is coordinating the Take Our Children to Work Day on April 23rd. She is looking for faculty, researchers, and students who would be willing to participate in 40 minute workshops that highlight research and "translate" our work into child-focused activities for children aged 9 to 13. See below. Please consider participating and perhaps recruiting a student to help. It would be great to have a COE presence.

Good afternoon Jessica, Lara,  Laura Lee, and Randy:

This year I'm responsible for Take Our Children To Work Day, scheduled for Thursday, April 23, from  8AM to 12PM.  The UO Take Our Children to Work Day includes a variety of organized activities to share the exciting work happening at this university and spark interest in the children of our faculty and staff. This national event is recognized the fourth Thursday of April each year.  This year I'm hoping to use the 2020 theme "Meet the Workplace Superstars," to highlight research by our faculty, researchers and students.

I'm interested in identifying faculty, researchers or students who would be willing to participate that morning and share their research with 9 to 13 year olds.  Each workshop is 40 minutes and should include a 20-25 minute activity that aligns with their research and is appropriate for ages 9 to 13.

Please share this request broadly with your colleagues and students who may be interested in participating in this event.  They can contact me by phone or email if they interested or have further questions:
