The Center on Parenting and Opioids (CPO) is a collaboration between faculty in the Prevention Science Institute, the Center for Translational Neuroscience, and Oregon Health & Science University. The overall aim of the CPO is to improve the well-being of individuals, families, and communities affected by the opioid crisis through a focus on behavioral (parental responsivity, warmth) and neurocognitive systems (e.g., executive functioning, reward responsiveness) that are underlying mechanisms common to both addiction issues and parenting challenges. In addition to conducting research studies, one of the goals of the CPO is to provide training opportunities for early career investigators, and to provide support for pilot studies.

The CPO has established a listserv to circulate training and collaboration opportunities and to share recent research and policy related to parenting and opioid use. We anticipate the volume of email to be fairly light (on average, 1-2 notices per week). If you are interested in subscribing to the listserv please go to:

https://lists.uoregon.edu/mailman/listinfo/cpo and enter your email address. You can unsubscribe at any time. The listserv is available to external parties too, so please forward as you see relevant.
