CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
The College of Education is pleased to announce the formation of a new group, the Social Systems Data Science Network, which will be co-convened by Drs. Kathleen Scalise and Emily Tanner-Smith. The mission of this group is to accelerate data-driven research and outreach efforts in the educational, behavioral, and social sciences, promote collaboration, and train future leaders in social data science methods.

This year, we are seeking nominations for UO faculty to serve as core or affiliate members in the group.  Any UO faculty member with FTE of 0.50 or greater (NTTF and TTF) is eligible for nomination. The attached information sheet summarizes roles and expectations for core vs. affiliate members.

Nominations or self-nominations are due no later than Tuesday, October 15, 2019. Nominations must be submitted electronically at the following site: https://oregon.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_3eZy5frtphwHJo9

We will hold an information session about the group on Tuesday October 1, 2019 from 2:30-3:30pm in HEDCO 230T (or by video at https://coe-uoregon.zoom.us/j/780527813). This information session is open to anyone at the UO interested in learning more about the group, the nomination process, or membership roles and expectations. If you are interested in learning more about the group but cannot attend the information session, please contact the co-conveners directly for additional information.
