coe-staff: Faculty/Staff Profile Editing Instructions, Guidelines, and Template

Hello all,

As promised, we are sharing access for editing your individual faculty profiles. Only you will have access to your profile via your DuckID, so all profiles will need to be edited directly by the individual the profile reflects. We’re excited to share this capability with you, and have drafted a few attached documents for your convenience. Please see the attached for:

  1.  Faculty/Profile Editing Instructions
     *   Steps for logistically accessing your profile on the CAS IT database, and how to edit the various information sections
     *   These are lengthy, but we aimed to be detail-oriented in an effort to help explain the  navigation and common issues encountered in the system.
     *   If there is a critical mass of interest, I am willing to offer a workshop session in mid-November to support anyone having trouble navigating the system
  2.  Guidelines and Formatting for Faculty and Staff Profiles
     *   Guidelines surrounding word counts, arrangement, and information to ensure our profiles remain informationally and visually consistent
     *   Formatting tips to prevent or solve some of the formatting and font issues common in the system
  3.  Example profile content for reference

These instructions will only work if you have an existing profile in the system. I am aware that some faculty and staff members’ profiles are not yet built in the system. I am working to get these created, and will contact you as your profiles go live so that you can then populate these sections directly. Feel free to email me if you want to confirm you are on the list, or to inquire about status and timing. I am happy to help.
