coe-staff: New CoE Director of Development - Kristi Schneider

Dear Faculty and Staff,

I am pleased to welcome Kristi to the CoE. As Deidre's announcement to the foundation notes (see below), Kristi comes to us with a wealth of fundraising experience from across campus. We also know from working with Kristi previously that she has the skills to lead our development efforts to new levels of success. However, we can only achieve our development goals with your collaboration. For this reason, Kristi will be taking many opportunities in the coming months to get better acquainted with your work.

I also wish to take this opportunity to express our collective gratitude to the members of the search committee - Deidre, Julie Wren, and Sally Dougherty - who worked diligently over many months to ensure that we found the right person for this key leadership position. Deidre also deserves special mention for filling the gap while our position remained open for many months. Andrea Olson, who also filled many gaps, will continue as a member of our development group, and we will be hiring a third staff member to fill the position vacated by Allison Weber. We anticipate having a fully staffed development unit in place by September.

You will find Kristi's office in HEDCO Suite 130 and adjacent to Andrea's office effective July 22.

Dear colleagues,

I am pleased to announce that Kristi Schneider will be the new Director of Development for the College of Education. Kristi will start on July 22 and will be located on the first floor of the HEDCO building at the College. Her email will remain the same.

Kristi has been a fundraiser with the UO since 2013, initially with Athletics Department and then as the Associate Director of Development for the College of Education. Most recently, she has been a part of the Scholarships and Student Success team. I want to thank the search committee, Julie Wren and Sally Dougherty, for their help in conducting this search.
