coe-staff: Change in our Development Office. Posted: Director of Development, COE

Dear Faculty and Staff,


We have experienced another personnel change in our development office. Deidre Sandvick has been promoted to a new management position in Advancement. In her new position, she will oversee the development efforts for the College of Education and four additional units, so in some sense, we are not losing her entirely. In addition, Deidre is still working closely with me and our COE development team to maintain our progress until a new Director of Development is hired. ?

The two of us worked together to create the position description necessary for initiating the search for her replacement. It was just posted on the UO jobs website:

I am pleased to report that Deidre will lead the search committee for her replacement. And, please forward this position posting to any individuals who you think would qualify and have interest.

Although we will miss Deidre's frequent presence, I am confident that we will hire a new director who will ensure that our development work continues to be highly successful.
