coe-staff: Welcome to the new year

Dear COE Students, Staff, and Faculty,

Welcome to 2019. If past is prelude, it is going to be another outstanding year of achievement for all of us.

We will build on last year's accomplishments including:


  *   Our #5 ranking among public university colleges of education
  *   Our $49 Million in sponsored projects awards
  *   The receipt of the largest federal grant in the history of our university - $32 Million
  *   Our increased master's degree student enrollments
  *   Over $700,000 in scholarship support awarded to our undergraduate and graduate students
  *   This list goes on...

You are the critical ingredient underlying all of these successes. Your inquisitiveness, dedication to inclusion and fairness in all matters, work ethic, optimism, and geniality all contributed to our record setting year.

On behalf of President Schill, Provost Banavar, our University of Oregon Board of Trustees and College of Education Advisory Council, I thank you for making these past accomplishments possible and for positioning us for future successes. More importantly, I am grateful for the many lives you've changed for the better, discoveries made, partnerships formed, and all of the good outcomes to be realized in the year ahead.
