Please join us on Thursday, May 16 for University Day and #DucksGive

University Day is a campus-wide beautification event that takes place each spring. Hundreds of students, staff and faculty gather together to plant flowers, spread bark dust, dig weeds, and generally show that we care about campus. Though University Day has evolved since it began in 1904, it's a great way to have fun and work with other people from the COE outside of the office.

#DucksGive is the UO's fourth annual 24-hour giving campaign. This year, we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of the HEDCO Education Building and Lokey Education Complex and are working to raise gifts in support of our students, faculty, and staff. If you would like to volunteer as a #DucksGive ambassador or would like more information on the campaign, please contact Allison Weber<mailto:allisone at uoregon.edu?subject=%23DucksGive>. This year, the COE is hosting a fun giveaway for all students, faculty and staff to participate and enter to win prizes such as COE gear, a Duck Store gift card, and more.  With several ways to enter, we are encouraging everyone to participate on May 16th and join in on the fun as we work together to beautify the COE and create a better future for COE Ducks. See the attached flyer for more information on how to enter the giveaway and come to our table in the HEDCO lobby on May 16th to spin the prize wheel!

University Day Volunteer Information
Some gardening tools and gloves will be supplied. If you have a favorite gardening tool, please feel free to bring your own. A free t-shirt and lunch will be given to all those who volunteer for one hour or more. However, if you wish to volunteer to work specifically around the College of Education buildings, you need to RSVP HERE.<https://oregon.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_eMb9XKSwT1g9LYF>  RSVP ONLY if you want to work around the COE! If you wish to work on another area of campus other than the COE, just go to the corner of 13th and University (the heart of campus) on Thursday, May 16 and they will assign you tasks and give you a shirt there.  No RSVP is necessary for that!  Volunteer assignments will be sent out the week of May 13.  Let Lisa Fortin know if you have any questions.
