Colloquium Abstract:
Children's unmet mental health needs persist across contexts. A promising approach to promote children's mental health is to align and integrate mental health systems within and across children's developmental ecologies, such as home, school, and community settings. This presentation will describe a program of research focused on aligning and integrating systems of support for children to enhance their developmental ecologies, promote mental health, and reduce the risk of later mental health concerns. The program of research emphasizes promoting adoption, quality implementation, and sustainability of empirically-validated practices by parents and educators in homes and schools. Results from prior studies and future research directions will be discussed.
