You may be interested in the note I sent to Provost Banavar this morning and the data provided by Melynn and Julie. And, yes, Jayanth did treat me to my favorite pancake yesterday.

Dear Jayanth,

Melynn Bates and Julie Wren of our staff were kind enough to tabulate data you requested regarding our GE assignments in the college.  The data speak for themselves, but a few key points are worth noting.


1.       We are funding all first year and other graduate school awarded fellowships per the program requirements.

2.       We are increasing PhD enrollment accordingly (see below, DEd students were removed).

3.       We have been increasing funding for GE's year over year since my arrival in the COE.

4.       EMPL does not appear in the tables because they have not been provided GEs.

5.       We need more GEs to support our high enrollments and productivity rates.

6.       We have growth potential in EMPL, CDS, and other programs pending funding.
