Dear College Students, Staff and Faculty:

I am writing to remind you that the first of two speakers who will be part of President Schill’s UO African American Speakers and Workshop Series will present their lectures on November 1, 2017 and November 28, 2017, respectively. The inaugural talk by Prof. Devon Carbado will take place this Wednesday at 12:15, Knight Law School 110, with lunch available at noon and an introduction by President Schill.

The Series, arising in response to the UO Black Student Task Force, presents speakers selected by UO President’s office. The main purpose of the Series is to provide our campus with an opportunity to learn more about pressing issues facing the black community, and hence it’s very important for the campus community to attend and to encourage our students as well as colleagues to do so as well. More information about both speakers is at: https://inclusion.uoregon.edu/uo-african-american-workshop-and-lecture-series.
