coe-staff: Leslie Leve's new position in the Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation

Dear Colleagues,

It is with mixed emotions that I announce Professor Leve's new position in the OVPRI Office as the newly appointed Associate Vice President for Research.  Leslie has done outstanding work as our Associate Dean for Research and Faculty Development in a very brief amount of time.  We will certainly miss her leadership.  On the other hand, I am reassured that Leslie will provide leadership to our university at a very exciting time for our institution.  She serves as yet another example of the deep pool of talented faculty that we have in this college - talent that is needed to lead our pursuit of academic excellence across campus.

Leslie will continue to devote some time to help us transition to new research leadership through September 15, although her duties in the OVPRI begin immediately.  I appreciate her desire to make our transition to new leadership as seamless as possible.

We have had some advance notice about Leslie's transition and have been working on reconfiguring our administrative staffing so that it is both efficacious and lean.  I plan to announce new and altered staffing arrangements very soon.
