coe-staff: Fw: UO Campus and Community hate and bias

?Dear College of Education Community:


There continue to be acts and crimes of hate and bias occurring on our campus, and in our local, state and national communities.  Many in our community are deeply affected by on-going immigration raids across our state, propaganda and vandalism by neo-Nazi groups, violence targeted toward specific groups, and so much more.


The College is working with different University units to identify how we can come together to better support our community members who are targeted as well as encourage each other to be more steadfast and visible with our support and advocacy.  I encourage all of us to use and pass along resources, like some offered below, and create space during classes, meetings, and using various communication formats (e.g., email, blogs, flyers, meeting announcements, etc. ) to (a) talk about these events and the impact on our students, in particular, (b) share resources, and (c) discuss opportunities for activism.
