I asked our leadership personnel in COE Faculty and Staff Services to prepare brief biographies and provide an overview of their major areas of responsibility (appended below). I hope that this information helps you better access our services and consultation.

Dianna Carrizales-Engelmann
Dianna Carrizales-Engelmann, Ph.D., is Director of Administration of the College of Education at the University of Oregon, serving the college as Chief of Staff. She has published in the area of assessment, measurement, standard setting, and assessment policy, and is co-author of a Social Emotional Learning curriculum. Dr. Carrizales-Engelmann served at the Oregon Department of Education as Director of Monitoring, Systems, and Outcomes in the (then) Office of Student Learning and Partnerships in which she was responsible for the oversight of district compliance with IDEA as well as district assessment expectations under NCLB/ESEA. In that role she provided leadership around the implementation of active statewide initiatives such as Safe and Drug Free Schools, District Response to Intervention, Kindergarten Readiness, Scaling up Initiatives, Accommodations, and Oregon's Alternate Assessments. In her role as a consultant on the Smarter Balanced Consortium development team, Dianna managed and facilitated the contract deliverables for the Smarter Balanced Assessment's administration activities and technical test delivery engine totaling over $25 M.
Major Responsibilities:
* Liaison for the Dean for verbal or written responses to academic, administrative and development issues
* Representative for the Dean in responding to and tracking requests and resolving problems
* Assists the Dean in oversight of central administrative responsibilities
* Makes judgments regarding confidentiality and sensitivity of materials and monitors access to such materials
* Central coordinator between other COE Directors where responsibilities between functional groups intersect
* Manages and coordinates regularly occurring projects such as appointment of department heads and program directors and faculty awards. Sets priorities to ensure that deadlines are met and action items are completed

Krista Chronister
Krista M. Chronister, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor and Assistant Dean for the College of Education. She has served as Interim Secretary for the Asian American Psychological Association, Director of the UO Center for Diversity and Community, and Program Director of the counseling psychology doctoral program. Recognitions of her work include The Counseling Psychologist Outstanding Major Contribution Award and the American Psychological Association's Fritz and Linn Kuder Early Career Scientist/Practitioner Award.
Major Responsibilities:
* Developing inclusion and equity efforts for the College
* Serving as primary liaison with University and local community stakeholders on efforts related to diversity, equity and inclusion

Brigid Flannery
K. Brigid Flannery, Ph.D., is Sr. Research Associate/Associate Professor and Associate Dean of Academic Affairs in the College of Education at the University of Oregon with a focus on improving secondary and postsecondary outcomes for students at risk. Dr. Flannery is author or co-author of 32 journal articles and 10 book chapters, among other publications. She has served as principal investigator and co-investigator on three U.S. Department of Education Institute of Education Sciences research projects dealing with youth with disabilities and at risk youth; as principal investigator on two Vocational Rehabilitation Services grants and 7 state Vocational Rehabilitation Services contracts; and as principal investigator or co-investigator on nine U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Program development and personnel preparation grants focused on improving educational outcomes for students with low incidence disabilities and for transition outcomes for all youth with disabilities. Dr. Flannery received the Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Illinois - Champaign-Urbana, College of Education. Dr. Flannery has provided service at the college and university level as well as nationally. She is on the editorial review board from multiple journals.
Major Responsibilities:
* Oversight and guidance in the development and revision of all academic curriculum and program planning and management within the COE academic programs
* Oversight of COE accreditation requirements (with COE Director of Institutional Assessment), the assessment and evaluation of academic programs, and joint program development and course offerings with other academic schools and divisions within the university
* Represent the College within the University for curricular matters, including the UG initiatives
* Development and revisions of policies as assigned
* Research grant management and implementation

Randy Kamphaus
R. W. Kamphaus, Ph.D., is Professor and Dean of the College of Education at the University of Oregon. He has received numerous recognitions for his work including, the Senior Scientist Award from the Division of School Psychology of the American Psychological Association (APA), and Alumni Lifetime Achievement, and Honors Day Convocation Teaching Awards from the College of Education at the University of Georgia. Dr. Kamphaus has graduated 38 Ph.D. students. He is author or co-author of more than 10 books, 80 journal articles, 10 assessment methods, and 50 book chapters, among numerous other publications. His research has been continuously funded by U.S. Department of Education and Institute of Education Sciences research grants for the past two decades. He is currently studying mental health service delivery in schools with the goal of creating tools for instantiating services that are both practical and effective. Among other service responsibilities, Dr. Kamphaus has served as president of APA's Division of School Psychology and as past-editor of its journal, School Psychology Quarterly.

Chris Krabiel
J. Chris Krabiel, M.B.A., C.P.A., is the Director of Finance and Operations of the College of Education (COE) and the interim Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the University of Oregon (UO). Chris's responsibilities include playing a role in strategic redevelopment of the COE HEDCO Clinic, with the clinic receiving over $8M in new commitments since fiscal '16. This is in addition to his financial and business activity oversight of the COE, inclusive research and outreach, facilities, and IT. His COE development activities include the initiation of the annual Scottish Rite scholarship support of need based youth at the COE HEDCO Clinic. As interim CIO he is leading the UO IT Strategic process while also participating in the develop of UO's new budget model. Prior to coming to the UO in April 2015 he had more than 25 years of financial and operations experience, serving in the positions of SVP Regional General Manager, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer and VP of Operational Finance for multistate casino and entertainment companies. During that time, he reorganized and reestablished a $500M post bankrupt company, executed acquisitions, divestures, business and capital development in addition to implementing key business strategies for companies.

Leslie Leve
Leslie Leve, Ph.D., is Professor and Associate Dean for Research and Faculty Development in the College of Education at the University of Oregon. She currently serves as President Elect for the Society for Prevention Research and previously received its Prevention Science Award. She is the author or co-author of more than 130 peer-reviewed journal articles and 30 book chapters, among other publications. She has served as principal investigator or co-investigator on grants from the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, National Institute on Drug Abuse, National Institute of Mental Health, National Institutes of Health Office of the Director, and the Institute of Education Sciences. This research has focused on the prevention of problem behavior and promotion of adaptive behavior in children and adolescents. She currently serves as a member of the Addiction Risks and Mechanisms study section at the National Institutes of Health and is a current or past-member of the editorial or advisory boards for top journals in the area of child development, including Development and Psychopathology, Journal of Family Psychology, and Journal of Child Psychology and Psychiatry. She is the program director for the Prevention Science doctoral program in the College of Education.
Major Responsibilities:
* Provide day-to-day oversight, advocacy, and support for all externally-funded research activities in the college
* Serve as the college representative on university advisory committees related to research (e.g., Research Advisory Board, Conflict of Interest in Research Committee, Knight Campus Internal Advisory Board)
* Oversee the tenure and promotion process for tenure-track faculty
* Coordinate and/or lead professional development activities related to research
* Facilitate student engagement in research

Julie Wren
Julie D. Wren, Ph.D. (May, 2017), is Director of Assessment in the College of Education at the University of Oregon. She has worked for the past 10 years in higher education administration with experience in enrollment management, institutional research, and planning, policy and assessment. In the college of education, her work has expanded to include teacher education policy and accreditation. Julie serves as the college's liaison to Oregon's Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC) and serves as a national site visit team member for the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). Julie also serves on the college's leadership team and on university-level committees related to assessment and student success.
Major Responsibilities:
* Oversees accreditation software system
* Oversees the collection of student learning outcomes
* Monitors and facilitates compliance with state and national standards for teacher education
* Monitors and facilitates college-level reporting (i.e. US News, Title II)
