Hello,
There are less than 2 weeks left to submit your nominations for the 2017 College of Education Alumni Awards.  The College of Education Alumni Outreach Committee honors individuals who have made a positive impact on the fields of education and human services through their work or advocacy. The committee encourages nominations from alumni, faculty, staff, and practitioners in the field. The nomination process only takes a few minutes.  Candidates may be nominated using an online or paper form.

One of the categories you may nominate people in is our Horizon Alumni Award.  This award recognizes someone who is a recent graduate (less than 10 years from their graduation date), who has demonstrated a commitment to excellence in post-collegiate life and a significant or ongoing commitment to extraordinary work, research or volunteerism.  Past recipients have included alumni who provided support for underrepresented students, provided support to students facing challenges based on their gender identity, and an alumnus doing research on behavioral intervention.  The criteria for this award is broad and fits a wide variety of disciplines.  The nomination process includes a simple form you fill out and a letter of support from one other person.  Take the time today to nominate someone for this or one of our other awards:

The Outstanding Alumni Award
The National Public Service Award
The Distinguished Alumni Award
The Horizon Alumni Award

Our graduates are wonderful people who often have made a significant impact in their fields of endeavor.  I am certain that each of you can think of at least one deserving person.
