Hello COE Faculty and staff,

Attached please find the slides from the Research Compliance Services presentation this afternoon on identifying and managing conflicts of interest in research.  We had representation from faculty in several of our research units (Behavioral Research and Teaching, Center on Teaching and Learning, Educational and Community Supports, Secondary Special Education and Transition, Prevention Science Institute). If you missed the workshop and have questions, please contact me or Research Compliance Services, or faculty in one of the centers noted above.

Also, save the date for a workshop on conducting research with children and teens on April 13th (12-1:30 pm). More details coming soon.

Dear COE faculty and staff,

Staff from the UO's Research Compliance Services (RCS) are hosting a dynamic conversation exploring conflicts of interest in research for College of Ed faculty. Together we will discuss challenges to identifying and managing conflicts of interest in research.  Staff from Innovation Partnership Services will also be present to answer questions about intellectual property (IP), start-ups, and other matters related to commercializing innovation from research.

This will be a really informative workshop- for both newer faculty, as well as those who have been in the COE for some time, and both sponsored and non-sponsored research activities. Please consider attending, and invite your research-active graduate students to join as well.

Time: 1 pm - 2:30 pm
