Event to share struggles unique to girls and women, and feature information and stories from around the globe, across the state, and specific to the UO.  Stories from Girl Rising, the Emmy nominated documentary directed by Richard E. Robbins, shed light on the import role education plays in breaking the cycle of poverty.?  The program includes a large panel discussion that includes two College of Education panelists: Nancy Golden, Professor of Practice, EMPL Department and Kayla Vargas, doctoral student, Counseling Psychology.

Our Stories: Immigrants of America photo project HEDCO Display

Eugene photographer and digital artist Melissa Nolledo will exhibit her photographic essays titled Our Stories: Immigrants of America in the HEDCO College of Education first floor.  Her pictures are accompanied by life stories of immigrants living in America and Oregon.

Immigrant Stories Shared by Miriam Alexis Jordan, Marie Thelma Barone, Joanna Bartlett, Monica Christoffels, Misa Joo, Maria Rungkat Warren, Priya Singh and others.
