coe-staff: Event for Lillian Winkler-Rios

Hello all,
Many of you work closely with Lillian Winkler-Rios on our Communications Team and have heard of the health challenges she has been navigating over the winter break. Lillian and her family have been providing updates and information and have decided to host a party for her on Sunday, January 15th from 5 - 8 pm in HEDCO 220. Please read the message from the family below and be sure to RSVP to let the them know of an approximate head-count.  Light refreshments will be served and if you'd like to contribute to the event by bringing a dessert of some type to share, please feel free to do so.  If you are unable to make it and would like to write a card or letter, drop it off by my office (HEDCO 130J) by Friday COB and I'll make sure it gets to her.  Let me know if you have any questions,

Dear Colleagues and Friends of Lillian,

Lillian and I would like to thank each and every one of you who have reached out to her during the last few weeks. So much has happened with her health in so little time that we are still to trying to adjust to it all.  That said, Lillian is not one to stay home and feel down about her situation.  I asked Lillian how we might respond to all of the people who have reached out to support her and she came up with the idea of having a party (so like Lillian!)  I asked her what we should call this party and she said "Will You Dance With Lillian?" Our family lives for happy moments, so this made perfect sense to us!

Lillian's wish is that you join us for an evening of music and dancing.  A happy moment for all of us to remember.  Thanks to so many of Lillian's colleagues at the COE, we have been able to put together a party for Lillian.  Drop by this Sunday (January 15th) between 5 pm to 8 pm, in the HEDCO Building, room 220.  If possible, please RSVP to our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/events/1504924052869347/ )  for the event so we have a good idea of how many will be attending.

I'm so very grateful to each of you who know Lillian, have been concerned about her, and want to support her.  It means the world to her and to her family right now.
