Dear Faculty:

Please see the notice below about Wayne Morse Center grants and awards for 2017-18. The theme of inquiry, "Borders, Migration, and Belonging," is highly relevant to the work that some of you engage in.

Program Directors: please share the below with the graduate students in your program.

Thank you,
Leslie

*****************************************

The Wayne Morse Center is pleased to announce its Grants and Awards for 2017-2018.

The Wayne Morse Center offers ongoing support for faculty and graduate student research through our Resident Scholar and Graduate Student Research Fellowship programs. (Applications for these are due on January 9, 2017.) We also offer Project Grants to community organizations, university faculty and departments, and student organizations to support educational events and activities related to the Center's theme of inquiry. (Applications for these are due on January 24, 2017.) Detailed information about all of these programs can be found here: http://waynemorsecenter.uoregon.edu/grants-and-faculty-support/

Most proposals can address either the Wayne Morse Center's theme of inquiry or a variety of other topics related to law and politics, very broadly defined. Our new theme of inquiry, to begin in Fall 2017, will be "Borders, Migration, and Belonging."

Information about that theme can be found here: http://waynemorsecenter.uoregon.edu/2017-19-theme-borders-migration-and-belonging/

Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. I oversee grants to faculty and graduate students (eherman at uoregon.edu<mailto:eherman at uoregon.edu>). Rebecca Flynn (rflynn at uorgeon.edu<mailto:rflynn at uorgeon.edu>) oversees our Project Grant program.
