All,

Many UO websites will inaccessible starting at 9:30 AM this morning for emergency maintenance. The UO home page (www.uoregon.edu<http://www.uoregon.edu>) and many other sites will be affected. There is currently no scheduled tome to bring the sites back online. Information Services will notify the campus when they expect sites to again be available.

The need to perform emergency maintenance stems from the discovery of critical vulnerabilities in modules of the Drupal web framework used by these sites. The UO is taking measures to protect Drupal sites from attacks that would take advantage of these recently discovered vulnerabilities. As soon as protective measures or patches can be put into place, Drupal-based sites will come back online.

The COE's website (education.uoregon.edu) will need emergency maintenance and will be unavailable as of 9:30 AM this morning until further notice.

Please note that all other COE managed websites will continue to be available during the emergency maintenance period.

COEIT will provide more information on this issue as it becomes available.

Sincerely,
Jeffrey Woodbury
