Celebrate Asian Pacific American Heritage Month
at the University of Oregon
May 2016

May is Asian Pacific American Heritage Month (APAHM) at the University of Oregon! During APAHM, student organizations and departments come together to celebrate the stories and experiences of Asian Pacific Americans on campus and in the community. This year, we have chosen (Re)defining Resistance as our APAHM theme, which is intended to showcase the ways in which Asian American & Pacific Islanders (AA/PI) have contributed to transformational change in our communities. Through honoring and rooting ourselves in the work of past AA/PI leaders, we can continue the legacy and movement of the AA/PI community for the future.

Ranging from culture shows and film screenings to workshops on better supporting AA/PI students on campus, there are close to 20 events for students, staff, faculty, and community members to participate in. All are welcomed and encouraged to attend!
