coe-staff: Food for Lane County Food Drive

Hello,
You may have noticed food barrels in the HEDCO Lobby and in ECS.  The Governor's State Employees Food Drive has officially begun and will continue until February 29.  We have an extra day this year, so let's take advantage of it and fill our food barrels!

Attached is a calendar for the month of February with suggestions for food donations.  Remember, anything you can do to help will ease the hunger of someone in Lane County!  The Student Food Pantry also benefits from these donations.

An additional way to participate is to purchase Euphoria chocolate hearts.  They are milk or dark chocolate hearts (peanut butter filled coming soon!) and available for sale through Marty Hurst in ECS (Lokey ED H140).  They are $4.00 per bag and $2.00 of each sale will go to FFLC!

If you would rather make a cash donation, there is a money jar at Marty's desk.  Alternatively, if you would prefer to make a payroll deduction to FFLC, this can also be done very easily!  Attached is a University Direct Deposit Form and a separate form for you to complete if you would like to receive a thank you for your payroll deduction in everyone's mailbox.

                The Oregon Food Bank Network helps 1 in 5 households in Oregon and Clark County, Washington.  In an average month, about 270,000 people receive supplemental food from a food pantry through the Oregon Food Bank Network.
