coe-staff: From Calcium to Exchange Room Calendaring

The COE is transitioning from the Calcium calendaring website to UO Exchange for reserving COE controlled rooms in CSB, HEDCO, and Lokey buildings.

The shift to Exchange calendaring will take place late this coming week.

If you currently use Calcium to reserve COE rooms, please be aware of two introductory trainings tomorrow and Wednesday  in 110 HEDCO (Learning Commons):


·         Tuesday, September 15 at 10:00-11:00 am in 110 HEDCO (Learning Commons)

·         Wednesday, September 16 at 1:30-2:30 pm in 110 HEDCO (Learning Commons)

The technical shift to the new calendaring system will take place on Thursday and Friday of this week:


·         On Thursday afternoon (9/17), Calcium will be set to read-only mode. This is to make the transfer of room reservations as accurate as possible.

·         Thursday afternoon through Friday afternoon (9/17 & 9/18), all Calcium room reservations will be transferred to the new Exchange room calendars and editing permissions will be set.

·         Calcium events in the following date range will be migrated to the Exchange room calendars (7/1/2015 through 12/31/2016)

·         Exchange COE rooms ready for use (9/18/2015, afternoon)

·         The Calcium server (https://calcium.uoregon.edu) will be shut down and archived (9/18/2015, late afternoon)
