Educational Methodology, Policy and Leadership (EMPL) is pleased to announce the following colloquium:


Smith's colloquium takes qualitative focus

EMPL lecturer Dr. Jo Smith will host the next colloquium, which will feature a panel of PhD students interviewing her about the origins of her interest in qualitative research to model different qualitative questioning techniques.



When:  Wednesday, March 11, 2015

Presentation: 11:30am - 1:00pm

Location:  Lokey 119

Lunch will be provided: 11:30am



The panel will unearth Smith's early influences and current directions in research, including:

*         Thoughts on Camus and the Cure

*         Notions of education as the great equalizer

*         Her time teaching in the Australian education system

*         Her work at USC

*         Her recent national study of different approaches to education governance
