coe-staff: Fire Alarm testing

All-

Campus Ops will be conducting the annual fire alarm test next week for the buildings identified below:

Thursday June 26 - HEDCO 6:00 AM - 7:30 AM

Friday June 27 - Lokey 6:00 AM - 7:30 AM

Horns, Strobes and Speakers on the fire alarm system will not sound after 7:30AM, but there may be activity such as door holders closing and smoke detector testing that will occur throughout the morning. Provisions have been taken to monitor the building fire systems during this time and alarms that occur after 8:00AM should be considered real events and occupants should evacuate as usual per the U of O Emergency Procedures.

As a safety precaution, I suggest turning off all electrical equipment the evening prior.  I will be sending out an additional reminder the day prior to the test.
