REMINDER - RESEARCH EVENTS THIS WEEK

As part of Research, Innovation and Graduate Education's, Celebrate Oregon Research Month, we are hosting a series of events including -  "Spotlight Sessions" that are designed to discuss successful strategies for engaging with federal agencies/programs in the following thematic areas:


  *   Navigating Mission-Driven Federal Research Agencies: NASA, USAID, DOE, DOD, NIST
When: Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 9:15am
Where: EMU Oak Room

  *   Federal Opportunities in Social Sciences, Arts, and Humanities: NEA, NEH, IMLS, Smithsonian, NSF-SBE, DOJ, DOD, and Urban Opportunity
When: Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 10:15am
Where: EMU Maple Room

  *   Federal Opportunities related to Energy and Environmental Research: DOE, NSF-GEO/BIO, USDA, DOD, DOI, EPA, NOAA, USGS, DOT
When: Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 11:15am
Where: EMU Oak Room

  *   Policy Outlook and Federal Funding Trends for Education Research
When: Thursday, October 24, 2013 at 3:30pm
Where: HEDCO 240

The discussions will be led by agency experts from the firm Lewis-Burke Associates.  They are focused for the faculty PI, post-doctoral fellow and advanced graduate student.  Please RSVP to Cinnamon Likens (clikens at uoregon.edu<mailto:clikens at uoregon.edu>) as seating is limited to 20 people per room.  Coffee will be provided.
