*NCER 2014 Grant Competitions of Interest to Special Education Researchers*
As recently announced, the National Center for Special Education
Research (NCSER) in the Institute of Education Sciences (IES) will not
be holding grant competitions in FY 2014 due to budget
constraints. However, an update today on the IES website points to
competitions administered by the National Center for Education Research
(NCER) which may be of interest to special education researchers in FY
2014.
"Researchers interested in the study of children, youth, and adults with
disabilities may be eligible for funding under the NCER competitions.
Research under the Partnerships and Collaborations Focused on Problems
of Practice and Policy competition (84.305H) may focus on students with
disabilities or at risk of disability from prekindergarten through
postsecondary and adult education. Research under the Postsecondary and
Adult Education topic of the Education Research Grants competition
(84.305A) may focus on postsecondary students with disabilities in
developmental and bridge programs as well as programs that lead to
occupational certificates, associate's or bachelor's degrees, and
students with disabilities in adult basic education, adult secondary
education, adult English literacy programs, and GED preparation."
