coe-staff: 2013 COE Marketing Survey

Good Afternoon,

Hopefully you took some time to enjoy the proverbial breath before the spring-term plunge last week. Now that you're back in work mode, I'm hoping to cajole you into completing the 2013 COE Marketing and Communications Survey. If you don't need any more context than that, skip to the link at the end of this message and go for it. It will take you 20 minutes or so to complete, and you'll feel very good about yourself afterward.

Since starting at the COE in August, I've learned a lot about the College and what makes it special. Much of that information is anecdotal, however, and I believe there is great value in data-driven decision making as it relates to marketing and communication priorities. To that end, I have lovingly crafted this survey instrument. It focuses on the following broad areas:

  *   Design and Printing Services
  *   College Communications/PR
  *   Marketing and Messaging

The primary purpose is to gauge the opinion of those who are most invested in the College's success and use the information to put the finishing touches on a college-wide marketing plan that could have implications for everything from recruiting to alumni relations. There are aspects of this, however, that ultimately could inform campaign communications and even a COE strategic plan at some point in the future.

If you wish to weigh in on our current and future activities, please complete the survey by Tuesday, April 16. If completions are low by then I may extend it another week following a reminder. I would appreciate brief mentions about this at department/staff meetings, as well.
